Poll Greeting at Early Voting Sites: New Tampa Democrats

Early voting is here, and so are we! Join the New Tampa Democrats as we greet voters at our nearest early voting location. Poll greeting (AKA sign waving) is one of the simplest and most visible ways to support our Democratic candidates. It gives voters a friendly face and a last reminder of who's on our side before they cast their ballots.

When: 19 October - 1 November, in 3 hour shifts
Where: New Tampa Regional Library
Who: Everyone is welcome, and no experience is needed. Bring a friend, a neighbor, or the whole family!

What you'll do: Hold signs, wave, smile, and say hello to voters as they arrive. Signs and literature will be provided at each site. Your site captain will meet you when you arrive. We'll also be handing out voter guides that let people know who the Democratic candidates are on their ballot.

What to bring: Water, sunscreen, a hat, comfortable shoes, and a folding chair if you'd like one. It gets hot, so plan for the Florida sun even in October.

Ground rules: Florida law prohibits soliciting voters within 150 feet of the entrance to an early voting site, including holding signs or handing out materials. Your site captain will show you where the boundary is. Please stay outside it at all times, and don't approach voters in line. We're here to be positive and welcoming, so please don't engage with anyone who tries to argue. Just smile and wave.

Every voter who sees a friendly Democrat on their way in is a reminder that our community shows up. Pick a shift and we'll see you at the polls!
